Five New Recipes & An Update

Things have been a little hectic round here of late.

There’s the possibility we might be moving house. I’ve been working on a food-related project for a while (details of which I’m hoping to share with you soon). And on top of all that, the dial on our oven is irretrievably broken. That’s not to say I haven’t been baking – if you follow me on Instagram you’ll have seen the usual sort of snaps – but I don’t trust its accuracy enough to write up a blog-worthy recipe this week.

Chocolate Hazelnut Mousse

So, today I present you with five recipes for the price of one: some treats I’ve been working on for Why Nut Ltd using their beautiful nuts and nut pastes including pistachio madeleines and chocolate hazelnut mousse (above) and pistachio pesto, baklava and chocolate hazelnut spread below.

Pesto

With the work I’m doing outside the blog, plus the heave-ho of house hunting/moving, I have a feeling new recipes might be a little less regular than once a week for the next couple of months. I’m hoping to share lots of delicious treats with you, but bear with me if there’s some haphazardness: a round-up here, some link love there, more quick and easy recipes, perhaps slightly fewer photos.

Head over to the Why Nut website now to get the recipes for all these treats and more. And please stick with me for the next couple of months. The future’s looking good, and I promise there’s going to be lots of delicious food (possibly coming from a brand new kitchen!) in it.

14 RESPONSES TO Five New Recipes & An Update

  1. I’m so glad you shared the links to all of these recipes – I can’t decide which one I want to try first! Good luck with the house hunting too, fingers crossed that you find a new little loaf kitchen very quickly!

  2. Sorry to hear about your oven, how frustrating! Mine seems to have developed one rather hot spot, but at least it is in the far right corner of the oven so I am able to work around it. Good luck on the house-hunting too – having just come out on the other side of it I know how stressful it can be.

Love the sound of the recipes you have been developing for WhyNut as well – I will have to send a friend of mine the link to the pistachio pesto which she loves!

  3. I can’t wait to hear about your food related project. It sounds exciting. And good luck with house hunting. It’s such a stressful time. Here’s hoping you find somewhere quickly.

Thanks Jennifer. Fingers crossed we’ve found somewhere…just going through all the final stages now!

  4. All that sounds exciting! And I feel your oven pain. Mine hasn’t really had a working light since Christmas, so our baked goods are extra well browned (nearly burnt) at the moment!

House hunting is hell. But it will all be worth it when you find the right place (and kitchen) to settle into.
These all look delicious – pistachio madeleines sound sublime and I’m never one to say no to some chocolate hazelnut spread…
PS New project sounds very exciting – can’t wait to hear all about it! x

  6. Good luck with your move and the busyness with the secret food project! (I can’t wait to hear about that one, by the way.)
I can never get enough pistachios so you are making me very happy today;)
